About Elmswood House
Elmswood House is a beautiful house set in the historic village of Tywardreath. This lovely rural Cornish village was an inspiration to
Daphne Du Maurier who was moved to feature the village in her classic novel ‘The House on the Strand’. The sweeping valley landscape offers beautiful countryside views, whilst the village is well served by a selection of shops and local pubs.
Elmswood House is a family run hotel offering the highest quality accommodation. Rooms are en suite and beautifully appointed, guaranteeing the level of comfort that our regular guests have come to enjoy. We use quality bedding and towels.
Start the day perfectly with our mouthwatering quality breakfast using all local produce, which includes cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices, award winning sausages and bacon from our local Tywardreath Butcher, delicious local eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms and as much tea, coffee, toast and preserves as you want!
We have attractive South facing gardens which catch the sun and boast lovely views of the village and surrounding countryside, the perfect place to relax with a drink and a book, and enjoy the peace and serenity of the village.
We offer the perfect place to stay whilst you explore the many attractions in Cornwall, including the world famous Eden Project which is situated just a few minutes away.
